1. About Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

Master of Divinity degree is a professional degree that will equip graduates with comprehensive graduate education. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are expected to attain the following: 1). Competent professional skills in preaching, teaching, counseling, leading worships, and administrating as an ordained minister. 2). Obtain the skills to educate and counsel biblical, historical, theological, and practical areas of studies essential for an ordained minister. 3). Gain thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bible. Graduates of Master of Divinity will be prepared for pastorship, priesthood, or professional ministry.

2. Student Learning Outcomes

  • Be able to demonstrate basic fundamentals of theological studies, ministry studies and biblical studies and be able to demonstrate these skills in theological studies and observation.
  • Be able to critically identify, observe, analyze, compare, and organize variety of resourceful sources for present and future.
  • Be able to articulate and understand the work of God in ways that emulate and respond to the graduate’s own community and life.
  • Be able to classify and explain the uniqueness of his/her own culture and/or denominational traditions as well as taking part in Christian community with respect and appreciation.
  • Be able to identify, observe, and analyze cultural problems and social context theologically, and develop an appropriate response that reflects God’s Word and Christian faith both in action and word.

3. Future Ministry/Career Possibilities

  • Graduates of this program have the opportunity to counsel, teach, preach, lead worship, and administer as an ordained minister. They have the opportunity to become a pastor, leader in church, Christian counselor, Biblical teacher, and a minister.
