1. About Doctor of Christian Education (C.Ed.D)

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for top-level leadership in religious education for seminaries, publishing agencies, social service agencies, and denominational organizations. The studies in Doctor of Religious Education are designed for qualified students who are engaged in teaching related ministries. Leaders in the field of education take roles in a superintendent, principal, curriculum director, instructional supervisor, or university administrator.

2. Student Learning Outcomes

• Be able to critically assess the fundamentals of ministries within churches and parachurch organizations.
• Be able to demonstrate and integrate personal life and his/her community with biblical perspectives and values toward God.
• Be able to reflect on his/her own personal walk with Christ.
• Be able to demonstrate high proficiency in leadership administration.
• Be able to demonstrate professional skills in ministry service (teaching, discipleship, evangelism, counseling, and pastoral skills.)

3. Future Ministry/Career Possibilities

• Graduates of this program have the opportunity to teach, train and lead church leaders and students to greater knowledge of Christ. They have the opportunity to become a superintendent, principal, curriculum director, instructional supervisor, university administrator, and get involved in other church ministry functions (training, discipleship, teaching, etc.)
