1. About Bachelor in Theology
Our program in theology is designed to equip students for future ministry within churches and Christian organizations. Upon graduation, students will also be well prepared to enter theological seminaries to pursue further studies in theology and related fields, or be prepared to be ordained as pastors as a career. Through this program, students will not only become well-rounded with studies in Bible and general studies, but become familiar with various branches in theology, including Historical Theology, Dogmatic Theology, and Practical Theology. The course will also provide the students with knowledge and skills necessary to acquire, formulate, defend, and critically evaluate evangelical theology within different churches for the service and growth of the church.
2. Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify and explain the major branches of theology
- Critically evaluate and defend an extended theological argument.
- Articulate a personal theological profile, and be able to understand and explain the importance of theology as it pertains to the life of a Christian.
- Examine and evaluate contemporary issues and developments in theology in light of orthodox protestant evangelical theology.
3. Future Ministry/Career Possibilities
- Upon graduation, students will have many opportunities to serve in various ministry settings, such as: pastors, professors, chaplains, Christian school teachers, editors and writers for Christian publishers, missionaries, and many more. A great number of graduates of this program use this undergraduate degree as a stepping stone for pursuing further study in theology and related fields at many different graduate schools and theological seminaries.
