1. About Master of Christian Education (C.Ed.M)
The purpose of the Master of Christian Education is to equip and motivate students to become competent leaders in the educational ministries of churches. Studies in this program guide and encourage students to develop in educated performances of their ministry.
Graduates of Master of Christian Education are able to serve the Christian community as directors or coordinators of religious education, congregations, diocesan offices, or as teachers of religion in faith-based institutions.
2. Student Learning Outcomes
- Be able to demonstrate and articulate the potentiality to design and implement Christian Education program in his/her local church or parachurch organization.
- Be able to express and reflect his/her own Christian faith in and out of school setting, and encourage students, peers, and others to do the same.
- Be able to explain and demonstrate the importance of relationships between church and education (youth ministry, children ministry, Sunday school, biblical counseling,etc.)
- Be able to demonstrate instructional strategies using biblical, theological, and cultural studies.
3. Future Ministry/Career Possibilities
- Graduates of this program have the opportunity to teach, counsel, serve, guide, and motivate students and fellow teachers with their abilities. They have the opportunity to become a minister of Chrisitan Education, children’s workers, ministers of youth, ministers of adults, directors of family-life education, administrators or teachers in Christian higher education, Christian school teachers and administrators, or women’s ministry leaders.
